Relevance

Islamic relevance

Over 110 Quranic suras and many hadiths prove the fundamental importance of the heart or subconscious mind. Here is a brief excerpt from it:

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

Do they not travel the earth to obtain (with Allah’s permission) hearts with which to understand and ears with which to hear? For it is not their eyes that blind them, but the hearts in their breasts. (22:46)

They are those who have faith and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah. Surely, in the remembrance of Allah, hearts find rest! (13:28)

Truly, there is a small piece of flesh in the human body, and if it is good, the whole body is good, but if it is rotten, the whole body is rotten. Truly, this is the heart!” (Sahih al Buhari)

Science has also been able to prove in numerous studies that the subconscious is more important, faster and smarter than our mind. The following conclusion can be drawn from this: We are the result of the things (emotions, experiences, information) that have manifested to our heart or subconscious mind.

However, this process is by no means complete. Rather, we have the development of our subconscious in our own hands. We shape our thoughts, our words and our actions every day with what we consume, what we see and feel in our environment.
